Im using it more than one year and its still waterproof. Motorola Defy is set to receive official Android 2. So proceed only for testing and playing around with Froyo! One thing I cann tell you for sure: You need to have working Moforola connection between your computer and Motorola Defy so that you can transfer files that you downloaded above. I suggest you not to buy this phone at all!
Im using it more than one year and its still waterproof. Phone is good, but need more RAM and a bit faster processor. The ram is just mb! It is supposed to be Froyo update for China Defys.
Anyway the phone is really good.

A leaked official Froyo ROM is available for download. And the system is not stable any more, I notice that phone is restarting a few times per day. Not even a little heavy application can be handled by the phone because it has a lot of default apps that are already running and consume way too much ram!
But I don't suggest flash a ics rom and above on this phone, because is just to slow and weak.
